Gabble Community Guidelines
Video Community
Gabble is a service that HP developed for people who want to connect with friends or family in a new, fun way. While we created it for private use, and only the people you invite to your group will be able to see your videos, we expect all members of this community to uphold certain guidelines. Gabble is not for language, words or images that are insulting, hurtful or harassing, sexually explicit content, or graphic violence. And remember, this service is not intended for business use. Bottom line? Have fun and respect your fellow Gabblers. As your mother always said, if you can't say it (or, in this case, show it) in a nice way, don't say it at all, and definitely don't film it!
Some general tips
- Invite only people you know to be members of your group. If you choose to let everyone in your group have moderator status, be aware they may invite people to your group that you do not know.
- Funny videos get the most views --- say something to your friends and family to give them a laugh.
- Think before posting unflattering videos or making unflattering comments to or about people in your group. Consider how this may appear to them now or in the future.
- Remember, you own your videos. If someone posted a video that is yours, feel free to ask us for help in getting it removed (flag it!)
- Have fun and explore! Many people like to take quick videos of their experiences on the go. Others like to record special events and activities for their friends to enjoy. Or some want to simply have a conversation.
- If you have ideas on how to improve the site, don't hesitate to let us know by emailing us at gabble@hp.com.
Posting guidelines
- Don't upload videos or content that you did not make yourself. This includes commercial content or clips from videos, movies, songs, ads, commercials, TV, or game play clips, etc.
- Sexually explicit content is not permitted on Gabble - even if it is of yourself.
- Do not include any ads in your postings.
- Please, no videos or discussions that include abusive, threatening or defamatory content, graphic violence, people being attacked, hurt or humiliated, violations of people's privacy, animal or drug abuse, or underage drinking or smoking.
- The Gabble community does not tolerate content intended to attack or demean a particular gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality, religion, ethnicity, age or disability.
- Also, please no "shock" videos or photos - including accidents, dead bodies, etc
Enforcing Guidelines
Moderator - If you start a group, you are the group moderator. Moderators have 24 hours to act upon a flagged video in their group. If a flagged video is not acted upon within 24 hours, HP reserves the right to close the conversation and/or remove the offending video or content. [NOTE: SEE COMMENT ABOVE.] If someone repeatedly posts videos that are being flagged by group members, moderators can remove the offending person from the group by going to the 'your groups' area and selecting "remove".
Members - You may not agree with or like every video. If you see a video that you believe violates our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines, please flag the video. If you are in a group where you find yourself repeatedly being offended or flagging videos, consider leaving the group. If you are a person whom others choose to complain about often, you may be removed from Gabble by HP.
HP - To protect members' security and maintain the intent and spirit of the site, HP will occasionally conduct random checks of postings, and will always respond to flagged videos that are not promptly removed by group moderators. If a member exhibits behavior unbecoming or inconsistent with these Community Guidelines or the Terms of Use, the individual's membership may be terminated by HP. HP also works closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation.
